Pics of the Faves

I've been inspired by one of my friends who does a regular post called "Wordless Wednesday". I love it because she just posts a picture or two and that's it. The pictures are so interesting and funny too. So, I decided that I'm going to do something similar and call it "Pics of the Faves". That stands for pictures of my favorite people. Since I don't have a day of the week incorporated into the post title, I don't have to feel obligated to do this on a regular basis. I can just do it when I think of it and come across some cool pics.

So, here's the first installment of "Pics of the Faves". With this one I will say that I was going through some OLD pictures that I need to get printed and came across some cute ones of Eli. It makes me wonder what Noah's going to look like when he's older. Hmmmmm.........

What would you say?

I just had this conversation with Eli an hour ago:

E: Is Jesus Santa?
M: No, but Jesus is cooler than Santa.
E: But Santa brings us presents.
M: (Boy did I want to say, "But Santa's not real" but I didn't) Yeah, but Santa only comes once a year. We can pray to Jesus any time we want. He's always there for us and He blesses us with food, clothes, and a warm place to live.
E: Can Jesus get burned (he's referring to how Santa doesn't get burnt when going down a chimney)?
M: Ummmm...I don't know. He has a body like we do, but he's a resurrected being, so I guess not?
E: Is Jesus magical?
M: No, not like Santa, but he has the power of the Priesthood that He uses to do lots of cool stuff.
E: Can He bring people back to life when they're dead?
M: Yes, He can. He actually did that when He lived on the earth.

Then I briefly told him about the story of Lazarus and that was it.

Wow, talk about a tricky conversation. I wasn't really sure what to say. Well, I guess I figured out what our lesson is going to be on for FHE tonight.

Leah's new hairdo

I cut Leah's hair last night while she watched a Sesame Street video. She was still suffering from crazy baby hair. On one side of her head, all the long hairs fell out. I don't know why. It's weird. So, on one side there's nice, long, thick (for a two year-old) hair and on the other side, there's thin, crazy hair of many different lengths. I decided to cut a little more than an inch off to help the short hairs catch up. It's amazing how much difference an inch makes when you're that little.

I was going to do a before and after thing, but I have no good pictures of her hair before. That's probably because it was so crazy that I put it in pigtails most of the time. That was funny looking too because one pigtail was long and "thick" and the other one was significantly shorter and thinner. I'm hoping this new 'do will help!

Wait, I found one. Here's a "Before" picture. Okay, okay, it is a bit exaggerated, but I think it accurately depicts how I view her hair.

Nothing but pictures...and a few words

These are super cute pictures taken of my kids at Target back in October. I didn't post them before because...I don't know. Anyway, enjoy!!

Don't mess with ME!

'Cause I bleed Cougar Blue!

Happy 2009

In our house, it's the year of brotherly love. It's called that because Noah is finally able to kiss Eli back. See...
