I wouldn't be a good mom if.....

I didn't buzz the boys' heads for summer! Actually, I'm pretty sure I would still be a good mom if I didn't, but I did anyway. They both had fros that had to go. Here are the before and after pictures:

That's where she wanted to sleep!

One day, Leah said she wanted to take a nap in the ottoman where we store our living room blankets. I told her, "Okay." And so that's what she did.

Mini-vacation

Last weekend, the fam and I went to St. George for a little vacation. Here are some pictures of the things we did:

Eli was sick (not fun)

Leah and Noah were not sick (fun)

Lots of swimming

Lots of playing in the back yard which is mostly big rocks and little rocks. There's also a fountain which is really fun to throw rocks in!

A bit of hiking. St. George is so beautiful because it's so different! We went to a spot where there are petroglyphs. It was really cool and interesting.

Leah was being a butt (not fun)

How did ancient people know what Eli looks like?

Playing at Sand Hollow Reservoir (very fun)

Eli marked for battle

Oh, and I was there too! (fun)

Pics of the Faves

I almost peed my pants!

Our little family was invited over to Mike and Shaina's (bro and sis-in-law) for dinner on Friday. We got there and were standing, chatting in the kitchen and Shaina asked me to get some paper plates out of the pantry. I thought, "Well, I have to pee, but I'll just grab the plates first and then take care of that." That was a bad choice because when I opened the pantry, I let out a loud, startled scream! There was a big guy standing in the pantry! Then I let out another scream because I realized that big guy was my oldest brother Will who lives in Colorado. Then I proceeded to jump around and scream for about a minute and scare the kids because they weren't really sure what was going on. Fortunately, I didn't pee in my pants, but I could have; I was that surprised.

Will came to town for a quick visit to pick up a couch my brother Mike was getting rid of and because his family is out of town; therefore, he's unsupervised. We had a really great time playing games indoors as well as outdoors. The kids had a great time playing with him too. They think the uncles are the best!

Last Day of School

Today was Eli's last day of school. He had a really great year!! Here are pictures from his first day of first grade and his last day. Looks like he's grown in inch or two this year. Expect every school picture to be taken by his bunk bed. I think it's a good way to measure how much he's grown. And since he'll have to sleep on that bunk bed until he's grown up and moves out, we'll always have it for him to stand next to. How convenient!

First day

Last day

I don't know if I should put a picture with this post.

Noah is almost completely potty trained. Every time he goes potty, he has a special little thing he says before he's sends his waste down the pipes and away forever. Just picture him bent over, facing the toilet, with his head practically in the toilet. While in this position, he says, "Bye pee pees! See you later. Oh, you want to go on a walkies with our stroller? I keep saying that!" It doesn't matter if he does #1 or #2, it's the same every time. And when he gets to the part where he says, "I keep saying that" he says it in a surprised sort of way, as if he can't believe he just said it again. What a nut!
