Tractor Rides

While we were in PA, my kids and I got all the tractor rides we wanted at my dad's house. Now, don't tell him I told you this, but he doesn't really have a tractor. He just has a riding lawn mower and a wagon that attaches to the back. In his mind, it's a tractor. To humor him, we all call it a tractor. Honestly, I laugh a little every time I say it. I love him though, so I play along like the good daughter that I am. Here are some pictures of our "tractor" rides. Oh, and yeah, that's a John Deere tractor! And, if you ever hope to get the chance to ride the tractor, you have to be wearing a John Deere hat.

What I ate while in PA

There are some delicacies that can only be obtained on the East coast. It's tragic really. Why can't the whole nation partake in the goodness? I don't have the answer to this enigma. I did take the opportunity to provide my taste buds with complete and utter bliss several times while I had access to these geographically restricted items. Here they are. Try not to drool on your computer while looking upon the beauty thereof.

Rita's Water Ice--I had the chocolate custard with sprinkles. They have fruity-flavored Italian Ice, but why waste time and money on fruitiness?

Josh Early Dark Chocolate Nonpareils--I actually got to bring some of this home. Surprisingly, I still have some left. I don't know how that's possible.

Friendly's Ice Cream--Really you just need to have their peanut butter sauce. It's sooooo good. I love their Reece's Pieces Sunday

Entenmann's Chocolate covered doughnuts (you can get Entenmann's products at Smith's, YIPPY!!)

Dunkin Donuts--The best is strawberry frosted with sprinkles. I realize this item does not contain chocolate, but trust me, it's so good!

Okay, now wipe the drool from your chin and book a flight to PA. Oh and bring something back for me!

My summer vacation

Like so many of you, I too have just returned from a long vacation. I got to go to Pennsylvania for three weeks to visit my parents. That's where I grew up and I haven't been there for 2 1/2 years, so we all thought it was time for a visit. And guess what.....you get to hear about every second of our vacation!!!!! Well, no not really. I'll just post about the cool stuff. There will be many pictures included, because that's the best part! So, keep an eye out. Vacation posts to come!

Super Becca

If I had a super power, it would be the SUPER SNAP!!! Don't know what that is? Don't know what it does? Well, let me tell you......it's an all powerful snap. If I had this power, all I would have to do is snap my fingers and I would be able to get any one's attention and they would do whatever I wanted them to do. Of course I would only use this for good, like getting Eli's attention and getting him to do his chores. Or, I would use it to get Leah's attention and make her stop smushing Noah. Get the idea? Good, now forget it. It's my power. I thought of it. You come up with your own!

Happy Birthday NOAH!!!!

Today is Noah's 1st birthday.  We are so happy we get to celebrate with lots of sweets, presents, fun times, and sweets!  I don't have a birthday picture of him because it's on my camera and I can't transfer it anytime soon.  So, wait a week or so and you'll get to see a picture of the little chubs on his birthday.  And don't worry, I'll give him a birthday squeeze from you!

I have to brag a little

Here are a few of those items to brag about:

1. Mike and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary yesterday.

2. I'm still crazy in love with him.

3. Mike's still crazy in love with me.

4. I have 3 great kids with the man I'm crazy in love with.

Finally, and most importantly.....

5. I still fit into my wedding dress!!!

I just tried it on this morning. It's a silly thing I like to do around our anniversary. I was super huge pregnant this time last year, so I didn't even look at the dress. This year, I'm happy to state that I can put it on and zip it all the way up. I can't move my arms, but who cares?!?!

We're in trouble

Noah isn't even one yet and already he's developing his mischievous side. He did two things this week that really made me worry about what he's going to be like when he's older.

Like all babies, Noah likes to put things in his mouth. When we were at a playground earlier this week, (or maybe it was last week, I can't remember) he kept trying to put little rocks in his mouth. He would pick one up, look at me, and slowly move his hand to his mouth, wondering how close the rock could get to his mouth before I said something. Of course, I said something every time. He would then promptly drop his hand, but the try again. Eventually, the temptation overcame him and he put the rock in his mouth despite my instructions not to. Knowing what he did was wrong, he started laughing and tried to make a quick getaway. Fortunately, he doesn't crawl faster than I walk, so I was able to easily catch him. I have a feeling this isn't the last time he tries to run away from me. The problem is, he's just going to get faster with time.

I was putting the kids to bed Tuesday night. I decided to put Noah down first so that I could tend to Eli a little easier. I gave Noah a little snuggle, laid him down, and covered him up. Then, I turned around to take care of Eli. While I was covering up Eli, I heard a giggle come from behind me where Noah was in his crib. When I was all done with Eli, I turned around and saw Noah. Instead of laying down like he should have been, he was sitting up with Eli's hat on his head. He must have grabbed it off Eli's dresser (he can reach it from his crib) and put it on his head. He even put it on backward to look cooler. He thought he was so clever and funny that he had done that while my back was turned.

It's a good thing I think kid is cute, otherwise I don't think I could handle such deliberate disobedience.
